110 yen at Foodway
I think Costa Coffee is, like ASDA wine （I guess no longer available though), unreasonably highly regarded in this country. While a "regular" canned black coffee is priced at 130 yen or sometimes 100 yen at vending machines, this PET-bottled coffee costs 150 yen or more. Although I was curious how it tastes, for unexplainable reasons, I felt it would be a defeat to buy it for unexplainable reasons.
But how about 110 yen? It should be forgivable if I have a half a bottle at a time and keep the rest preciously in the fridge.
日本ではコスタコーヒーは、アスダワイン(もう売ってないと思うけど）と並んで、理由なき高評価を受けているように思います。「普通」の缶コーヒーは自動販売機で買うと130円（100円のことも）ですが、ペットボトル入りのコスタコーヒーは150円以上します。どんな味なのか興味はありましたが、買ったら負けな気がして手が出ませんでした。
では110円では？1回に半分だけ飲んで、残りを大切に冷蔵庫にしまっておけばOKでしょう。

Masaoka Shiki's new book has arrived. This is a collection of his short writings regarding baseball.
In this book the Haiku genius seems so charming, cheerful and lively in this book, even when talking about judgement he would face after his death, that I would love to call young Shiki "Shiki-yan", putting my fondness with the honorific sufix "yan".
正岡子規の新しい本が手に入りました。野球に関する短い随筆集です。
俳句の神がこの本ではとてもかわいらしく、元気いっぱい（自分が死後受ける裁きについて話しているときでさえ！）で、親愛を込めて「子規やん」と呼びたくなりました。

Continuing August Reading. This one is a tough book in many ways. What I can say for sure now is the Japanese title is far different from the original. How could the original "Bringing Mulligan Home" become "Fathers Who Killed Japanese Soldier"?
図書館から借りてきた本です。
引き続き8月の「課題図書」に取り組み中。この本はいろんな意味で厳しい本でした。今のところ確信をもって言えるのは、原題が邦題と違いすぎ。「マリガンを連れて帰る」が「日本兵を殺した父」になるって…。
