The Least Useful Guide to Fukuoka

 The typhoon No.14 seems to have finally decided to assault us mercilessly. It has developed to a fearful 910 hPa at the moment. Although it is forecasted to be less powerful when landing on Kyushu Island on Monday, but still 930 hPa,  which is an unforeseen force experienced in Kyushu. 

 My fear gets even stronger as the Emperor is leaving the country with the Empress to attend the Queen Elizabeth's "genuine" state funeral (compared with the "so-called" or "with quotation marks "state funeral for Mr. Abe, which as long as I know both of them have shown no interest in attending).  I know I sound funny, but I tend to think the absence of the Emperor in this particular point may result in something very sinister.  I might still have a peculiar thought inherited for generations that he is supposed to defend the nation with his magical power when natural disaster hits us. But I also know if he really had such a power, the Tohoku earthquake would not have happened.    

　台風14号の襲撃がいよいよ避けられなくなってきました。今の勢力はなんと910ヘクトパスカル。なんだそりゃ。九州上陸までには930ヘクトパスカルまで弱るそうですが、それでも九州ではありえない強さです。

　恐怖心が一層強まるのは、天皇陛下が居なくなるせいかもしれません。今！この時期に！エリザベル女王の「正式の」国葬（安倍元総理のは「いわゆる」国葬。ちなみに、私の知る限り、こちらには両陛下とも参列する気はなさそうです）参列のために、日本を後にされます。

　おかしなことを言うようですが、なんとなく、天皇陛下が今居なくなることはすごく怖いことにつながりそうで震えています。おそらく、いまだに「天皇陛下は天変地異の際にその不思議な力で民を守ってくれる」という考え方が私の中にあるせいでしょう。もしそうだったら、東北の地震は起きていないわけですが。
