Austerity Christmas Tree ― 2012/11/20
Christmas trees and Christmas-themed building decorations have been noticeable. Department stores and commercial buildings have put up trees, but they do not look as festive as they used to be. The phrases , “Eco-friendly,” “green,” or “no waste,” seem to be used as excuses to cut the costs on Christmas ornaments.
Then, how about this?

Tree ornaments made from old CDs…

Actually,
viewed from a distance, they look gorgeous twinkling in the sunlight. If I saw them in my friends' houses, I would compliment on the clever idea. No hesitation. But absolutely no-no in front of department stores, which are supposed to provide fantasy and a festive feeling not only during Christmas period, but even on ordinary days. Reusing rubbish? For what do we pay much more than the real value for what you sell?
