今月、これまでに外で食べたおやつはこんな感じ。

Chocolate-dipped　churro with iced coffee at a local Mr. Donut. Recently a local shopping mall where this Mr. Donut is has changed chairs and tables to more stylish ones. With the new furniture, the terrace became somewhat looking like a poolside cafe in a resort hotel. 

ミスタードーナツでチョコチュロとアイスコーヒー。このミスタードーナツがあるショッピングセンターでは、最近テラス席のイスとテーブルがなんかカッコいいのに変わっていました。ちょっとリゾートホテルっぽくなったような。

Custurd pudding and iced coffee, as usual, at Cafe Muji in Daimyo. The price has not so horribly gone up compared to other cafes and food in general.

大名のカフェムジでいつものプリンとアイスコーヒー。他のお店や食料品全般と比べても、ここの値上がりはそれほどえげつなくはないような気がしました。

                  726 yen at Apetito, Tenjin

Meanwhile, the price felt having skyrocketed here in Apetito, Tenjin. I believe this cafe used to offer coffee at 220 yen, served in a nice-looking mug cup, in the morning if you place your order before 11a.m.. But the early bird discount is no longer available. Now a paper cup of coffee cost me 396 yen even though I ordered it 10:48 am.

一方、天神のアペティートは高くなったなあ、という印象。確か午前11時までなら、カッコいいマグカップに入ったコーヒーが220円だったと思うんだけど...。いまは紙コップのコーヒーが396円もします。注文したのは10時48分だったんだけどなあ。

         Free of charge at Kanten Papa Shop near RopponMatsu

To be more precise, this set of mini desert （I think it was something called "green grape kanten")　and coffee was offered. To be precise, this treat was a kind of exchange for my purchase of some Kanten-based products. 

六本松からちょっと行ったところのかんてんぱぱショップというところで、ミニデザートとコーヒーのセットをタダでごちそうになりました。正確に言えば、お店の商品をいくつか買ったので、そのお礼、ということになるのでしょうか。接待。

Actually, this shop has been a mystery for me. It has its headquarter in Nagano where I visited in September. I dropped in at a cafe near the Zenko-ji, run by the same company and had a cup of coffee at probably 400 yen. 

このお店は私にとってはちょっと不思議な存在です。本社は長野にあります。9月に長野に行ったときに善光寺のそばに同じ会社がやっているカフェがあり、立ち寄ってコーヒーを飲みました（こちらは有料で、400円くらいだったと思います）。

Both shops were quiet with, I hesitate to say, very few customers. They didn't look booming in any sense. To be honest, I don't think so many Kanten enthusiasts. But this Ropponmatsu shop has been there, kept clean and nicely presented, for years. I wonder where they get profit that big enough to keep such quiet and peaceful places. 

どちらのお店も静かで、言いにくいのですがお客はほとんどいませんでした。そう見ても大繁盛とは言いにくい感じ。まあ、寒天マニアというのはそれほど多くはないのでしょうが。それでも、このお店（六本松のほう）は長いこと営業していて、いつもキレイで感じよく保たれています。こんなに静かで平和なお店を維持するだけの収益を、この会社はどこから得ているのか、謎です…。

And the last spot...

   Taiwanese sponge cake and milk at 340 yen at a local bakery.

Milk went very well with this sponge cake. But the eat-in space was a bit chaotic. The space was also used as a warehouse.

Next to my seat looked like this...

最後は近くのパン屋で台湾カステラと牛乳。牛乳は台湾カステラとよく合いました。ただ、このイートインコーナーはけっこうスゴイことになっていました。倉庫としても使われているらしく、私が座った席の横はこんなことになっていました。

They must have tried to make this mess less visible though ...

目立たせないようにしている努力は認めます…、
