Wildly High-Tech ― 2022/06/08

Recently, my local Nishitetsu store has been rapidly digitalized.
At first, there was only a top up machine for nimoca (digital ticket that can also be used for shopping) at the corner of the store. Then an Amazon Locker was installed,

the top up machine was replaced with a Seven Bank ATM, and even a Mercari Post (I don't know what this is) was introduced. These have happened in just a couple of years.
Along with the digitalization, I think I have seen more young shoppers in the store.
Even though it has gone wildly high-tech, the Nishitetsu Store still stocks under garments for elderly ladies (at around 500 yen), which is why I like this local grocery store.

Still Reading ― 2022/06/09

My Golden Kamuy fever is still going on. Last week I read these three books, all of which are library books, hoping to learn a bit more about the background of the story.
I have found this one particularly interesting.

With sufficient data and evidence, this book taught me how Ainu people were treated during and after they were in military, and how Asahikawa developed as a military city. Although I have read only a part of this book, I feel like I have learnt a lot(at least I have realized there are lots of historical facts that I have never thought of). Now I would definitely love to visit Asahikawa where the Seventh Division was.
There were Gol-Kam related programs on TV as well.
One is a program about a bear-attack incident in Sankebetsu area, Hokkaido. A bear that has acquired a taste of human flesh...and people who had to fight against it... both couldn't be more miserable... Moreover, the massacre took place only a little over 100 years ago, and I'm afraid that it can still happen even (right) now.

The other is a program about young Ainu.

I didn't know that no one speaks Ainu as their mother tongue anymore. I assumed Ainu was like Okinawan dialect and (to some extent) spoken as an everyday language.
After reading Golden Kamuy, it seems I have got many antennas that is very sensitive to topics related to the comic. There are lots of stuff to read and see. What a pleasant hassle!
To cap it all, I have finally begun to collect the comic books, which I have been resisting due to the limited capacity of my book shelves.

So far I have bought only two books (There will be 31 volumes in total). Can I be forgiven (by who?) if I bought three books each month?
