Summer Washing2021/07/31

With no plan to go out and hot and sunny weather, it's perfect to wash everything.
This week I have washed almost everything I could think of, regardless whether they are ”officially” washable:
("WA" means "the manufacturer claims it is washable".)
Curtains (WA), for the fist time in three years;
Vertical blinds (WA), several years;
Vacuum cleaner  parts (WA), one year;

Geriatric shoes, a half year;

Slippers (WA),  a week
and
Eco bags, for the very first time ~a month.

My 14-year-old washing machine has never worked so hard!

Hi there. I don’t know if you remember me - in the past I made some comments on your blog. For some unexplainable reason I thought about your blog today and read some entries. My daughter Amanda went through a clinical trial re her brain cancer and by the grace of God she is a living miracle. We did go to Japan twice - one trip to the Kagoshima area and then another trip to Aomori. Obviously it may be a while before we return due to Covid and quarantine protocols. My family is fully vaccinated though. We had been so anxious about it. I hope you and your family can get vaccinated soon. I am happy to see your blog is still up!

Thank you so much for coming back! It's really great to hear from you again.
Of course I do remember you and am glad to know Amanda san is doing well. In fact, it is your comment around three years ago that has kept me going.
We haven't been vaccinated but somehow OK and on semi-self- isolation for all these COVID months. No BBQ or Olympics.
I hope you enjoy the rest of summer safe and healthy. Please pass my big hello to your daughter.
