The Least Useful Guide to Fukuoka

If you want to appear on local TV show, one of the fastest and easiest ways should be to be interviewed by a local news show as a “voice of the town”. I found some spots where you are likely to be asked to give your voice on a current topic.

I often see TV crews videoing someone at a corner of Shintencho shopping street.

Other than there, according to my unscientific and unproven research, in front of PARCO,

IMS, Fukuoka Building, Iwataya Department Store

and Fukuoka Station, TV people (and other requesters for blood or money donations, petitions and so on) tend to look for their interviewees (or donators or signers).

In fact, I myself once have been asked for an interview, which I declined at once out of fear that my face would be exposed on public broadcast. I am not on a wanted list, just in case.
