How Did You Do?2014/03/11

Today, entrance exam for publicly funded high schools was conducted throughout Fukuoka. Generally speaking (or overly generalised my assumption is), in terms of high schools, state schools are more prestigious than private ones. In addition, tuition fees of state schools are of course much lower (but fees are charged anyway) than private ones’.

The exam today therefore must be extremely important for the examinees and their parents.

So important that a local TV station broadcasts a program telling the keys to the tests on the same day it was done, sponsored by an after-school preparatory school specialised in high-school exams. Was there such an informative TV programme over in my time? Who is this program aimed at, in the first place?

If I were a 15-year old having just finished the exam, I wouldn’t want to know the answers, through which I have to know whether I had achieved my goal (or not).  I remember I just forgot everything I had done for the exam at the moment I finished it three++ decades ago.
