(Ancient) Romantic Spot2010/07/16

♪heart of mine...

It was not only me who assumed this view to be the most romantic in Fukuoka in the early 1990s.

There used to be an uncommonly held belief (probably only among my few friends) that If you took your potential girlfriend here and whispered words of love with the BGM of Boz Scaggs or Bobby Caldwell (Christopher Cross would do, too), the girl would never turn you down….

But without any chance to be in such a nice situation, I came to be this old, and now I don’t see no romance whatever in this cityscape; this is a place where I just walk, walk, and walk to get lid of my body fat.

Is that because this kind of “stylish” night view became out-of- date, or there are more romantic things, such as picking up clams or chatting about drowned bodies with old gentlemen, in this beach-side park?
