(Do not ask me about the Kampo diet that prohibits any food made from wheat. Everybody needs some breaks.)

Following a piece of information from my hairdresser (he is a big influencer to me), the other day  visited one of the most locally talked-about bakery café.

well-presented

Coffee: 300 yen + an onion bun (they call it “bun made with NEW onion”—the word “New” seems important to them):200 yen (excluding 8% tax)

Beautifully presented. The plate and cup are probably works of a local potter. Coffee (named “mr.XXX’s coffee”. I don’t know what it means, though) was probably dripped cup by cup, and the bun was reheated. How thoughtful of you! But the coffee was lukewarm and the middle of the bread was still cold.

Sorry for being so picky. I don’t know, but for some reasons, I tend to be critical of this kind of #artisan, #hearty, #instafriendly, or "theatrical", style. To be fair, however, the bread itself was not bad at all. There was nothing wrong with it. I guess the store was simply too refined to me. I am a Yamazaki-Pan type of person.
