Unknown Flying Object ― 2011/01/21

For the past few days, something has kept appearing in the sky.
Because of its unsteady and somewhat suspicious movements, I thought it was something sinister—aliens (from the outer space, not from overseas) , or …. spies? But these ideas are not realistic. Coastal guards and air traffic control centre are watching something or someone trying to get into Fukuoka.
My husband laughed away my warning not to go out in case the flying thing sprinkle poison or something unpleasant (the Aum incident (1995) type?) . Hee said it was just a flying advertisement.
I hadn’t seen such a thing. I did know there was something called “airship”, but the word was associated closely with the Hindenburg Disaster (1937)—I don’t know where I came to know that, though. So I assumed airship was something very dangerous and can explode very quickly. But the airship over my head was floating peacefully. At the age of 45, I had to change one of my notions.
It turned out that the airship was an advertisement campaign by an insurance company.

You may well see the airship with Snoopy on its sides as it is touring throughout Japan.
