New Measures against Flies ― 2010/06/25

Flies are one of summer nuisances. When the temperature reaches 25 Celsius or higher, they will come from nowhere.
Last year I was a kind of let down by a fly trap. From this experience, I have learnt a lesson: Catching existing flies is not a practical way to lead a fly-free life.
This year I found a new method, fending off the insects before they get in my kitchen.
This insect repellent panel is designed to volatilize insecticide specialised in flies and at the same time, deodorize the wonderful smell of summer rubbish for up to 30 days.

If you stick this panel to the back of your rubbish bin lid, the hottest bed of flies (Do I use the word 'hotbed' in a wrong way?), the panel is promised to kill the flies inside the bin, keep them away from the bin, and deodorise the the bin, says the descriptions on the package.

It has past two days since I placed the panel. Nothing happened so far, which is nice. No fly, no smell.
Let’s wait and see what will happen when the temperature goes up and more flies will come around.
