Their flowering period tends to be quite short. They may well die by the end of next week.

New Lenses for Old Frames2015/09/20

new lenses

My eyes began to refuse to focus on smaller fonts on dictionaries and newspapers. Japanese newspapers are fine because they have made the font bigger adapting the aging readership. But English ones are nightmare. They seems to believe their readers never get older and still uses tiny little characters. Anyway, although I have been with my bifocals for several years, they can no longer cover shorter distance.

So I got a new pair of lenses for my 13-year-old frames.

look at the thickness!

With which I can get clearer view of anything around 60cm away—a bit longer working distance than reading glasses (35~45cm?) .

My optician did a great job! Actually, he has been looking after my glasses for more than 25years (longer than my husband being with me!) and did exactly what I wanted. With the new glasses, I feel as if my eyes got younger and can focus everything at the speed of light.

The only shortcoming of them is, the glasses are so comfortable, light and fitting perfectly, I forget to change them to my bifocals when my work with PC and dictionaries finishes, and almost miss my footing on stairs.

I found aging is replacing body parts with artificial things one after another. Now I have three pairs of glasses; for everyday activities, working with PC, and for bath time. None of them are for fashion.
