The Least Useful Guide to Fukuoka

A scary display!  

This display reminded me of wild bears that have kept appearing in urban areas in search for something to eat before their hibernation.  Those wandering bears have seen throughout Japan, except for Kyushu Island where wild bears are said to have long been extinct, and sadly shoot death unless they managed to run away.

In a real world, bears are nothing like Paddington from Darkest Peru. They don’t wear a duffle coat, and will attack you if they found you holding a bottle of marmalade.

By the way, ins’t it just a coincidence that those bear incidents occurred while Japan is hosting COP10 meetings to discuss how we could coexist with or save the wild life?
