The Least Useful Guide to Fukuoka

Although I no longer wear full make-up like girls ‘in action’, I occasionally put some sunscreen cream and makeup powder to avoid sunburn and following skin tingling.

Today, I bought a pack of make-up powder (about JPY2,500, including the case and powder puff) for the first time in four years.

The shop assistant asked me what I would like to try in their store. The store seems to stock samples of all products and be so generous as to give them upon the customers’ request. So I requested something I can use as a light make-up and sunscreen cream at once, assuming I was indirectly refusing their offer. Then, the shop assistant whipped out this tiny set. With this encouragement, I might return to heavier make-up in autumn (as there is no point to wear make-up in summer; your paint will come off as soon as you get on your bike).
