My Freedom of Movement ― 2019/07/19
This summer I am going to travel on bus with this “Hiru (daytime) Pass” which allows me to travel unlimited under the following conditions:
· Valid from 10:00 -17:00 for three month;
· For locally operated Nishitetsu bus only (you can’t get on underground, JR and Nishitetsu railways with this);
· Free travel zone is limited (within around 15 -20 km from City Centre).
With this, I have been enjoying bus travel freely which is a fresh experience for me. The best thing is, I don’t have to worry about heatstroke and sudden rain.
Things I used to see from ground look different. I have enjoyed lotus flower in an air-conditioned bus
and taken photographs of half-naked men (dressed for Yamagasa festival, not their everyday outfit), which is only possible only from a bus.
In order utilize the privilege this card provides me to the full extent, I have travelled to east edges of Fukuoka metropolitan area twice in a week (which would have cost me nearly 4,000 yen in total if I had travelled in conventional ways).
I have been to Aeon Mall Fukuoka (No shopping, just having a donut and coffee at all-too-familiar Mister Donut)
and COSTCO (just to overwhelmed by the many kind of greed drifting in the air and the size of pizza at the food court--I couldn't eat it up...aging me...).
Along the way I also enjoyed spectacular views( by my standard) .
My next excursion
is going to IKEA and have a hotdog there!
